Introduction
My name is André Jacobs and I am originally from South Africa. I am a husband to a lovely wife and the father of two of the most amazing little human beings.
This is my personal website on which I will be writing about Software Development, Electronics, Robotics, Business, Life and anything I feel like writing about.
Passion
I love technology and have been hooked on programming since I was 10 years old.
With more than twenty five years of professional experience as a software engineer I have had the pleasure to work in a variety of different industries including: Mobile, AAA Video Games and Finance to name a few.
Why do I blog?
The main reason I write and post on my personal site is for self documentation. Meaning I document things like: processes, thoughts, ideas, things I learn and things I create for my future self. Over the years I have learned that by spending the time up front to document these things, it will pay big value to me in the future.
If someone else can derive value from my site then that is an extra bonus and I truly hope that it helps them in a small way to solve their own particular problems or challenges.
